BEELZEBUB’S LAMENT

You once loved me and I ache
But word spreads its venom and did take
Your love and I face
Eternity in heartbreak
But I fake a smile
And chase the flies away
From a rotting love that is hate.

A monster you make me and I ache
For I was once a man of business but you take
That away and I face
A rotten life, for you break
Everything I own and call it fake
And chase me to the shadows
That you grew out of hate.

For, once a man of business,
Now, a man of death.
