Oath Breaker by Kassidy Coursey

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The first demon Saer becomes enslaved to a vampiress named Lady Eyes, and as they fall for each other, Saer begins a journey to break his bond with Lucifer and save Lady Eyes from her vampire curse.

This was such a sweet romance and the banter between Lady Eyes and Saer was top notch. I loved the idea that all the supernatural creatures worked under one of the angels or The Grandfather. And if you changed “ownership”, you changed your species.

I enjoyed the cast of characters and found myself upset as time passed and I had to say goodbye to those who were mortal. One of the downsides of following immortal leads.

I loved Lady Eyes’ progression from a fairly naïve leader of her colony to a competent, experienced ruler who had seen a lot of pain. I also liked the way Saer gradually became less arrogant over the course of the story. Although, he’ll always make me smile with his internal quips and critical observations of those around him.

Overall, I found this a riveting read and a great sequel to Fallen’s First.
